On 15 and 16 October 2016, more than 30 witnesses, lawyers and experts from around the world gathered at the International Monsanto Tribunal in The Hague to present their testimony on the impact of Monsanto’s practices to five judges from different continents.
This unprecedented international mobilization allowed witnesses and experts to provide a large amount of material related to the damage caused by Monsanto. The judges have conducted a thorough and rigorous review of these elements during the twenty-six weeks since the hearings.

• human rights violation such as the right to health, the right to food, the right to a healthy environment and scientific freedom,
• allegations of complicity in war crimes (Agent Orange – Vietnam War),
• the crime of ecocide (which remains to be modeled and enshrined in international law).

Il 15 e 16 Ottobre 2016, più di 30 testimoni, avvocati, ed esperti/e dal mondo intero si sono riuniti a L’Aia nell’ambito del Tribunale Internazionale Monsanto, al fine di presentare le loro testimonianze sull’impatto delle pratiche di Monsanto al cospetto di 5 giudici provenienti dai diversi continenti.
Una mobilitazione internazionale senza precedenti che ha permesso ai testimoni e agli/alle esperti/e del settore di fornire una cospicua quantità di materiale relativo ai danni causati da Monsanto. Durante le ventisei settimane trascorse dopo le udienze, i giudici hanno condotto un esame esaustivo e rigoroso di questi elementi.

- Le minacce ai diritti umani quali il diritto alla salute, il diritto all’alimentazione, il diritto ad un ambiente sano e alla libertà scientifica
- Le accuse di concorso in crimini di guerra (Agente arancio – Guerra del Vietnam)
- Il crimine di ecocidio (che rimane da definire e ratificare sul piano del diritto internazionale)
